Therefore, I urge you brothers (sisters), in view of God’s mercy to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of you mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2
We wholeheartedly agree with the verses above and also worship corporately by:
Proclaiming God’s Word—for the edification of the saints, the salvation of souls and the glory of God. (Rom 10:17; 2 Tim 3:16-17; Eph 4:15) Giving—to thank God for all He has given us and to support the spread of His Gospel. (Rom 15:24-29; 2 Cor. 8:1-7, 9:6-15; Phil 4:14-20) Practicing the Ordinances—to remember the work of Christ and to demonstrate our unity in Him. (Matt 28:19; Luke 22:19; 1 Cor 11:23-32) Praying—to align our hearts with God by His Spirit, to intercede for the saints, and to honor God as obedient servants and dependant children. (2 Chr 7:14; Matt 6:9; Lk 10:2, 11:13; 2 Cor 1:11; Eph 3:14-21; Phil 1:9-11)
Singing—to declare our love for God and to memorize His precious truths. (Deut 31:19; Ps 30:4; Eph 5:19; Col 3:16)
Fellowshipping—to build each other up in faith and to bear each other’s burdens with compassion. (Jhn 13:34-35; Acts 2:42; Heb 10:24-2)
