Funerals
When someone has gone home to be with the Lord, that is when we step into action.
We contact the family of the departed and find out what main dish they choose to provide and approximately how many people they are expecting. We coordinate with decorating teams and kitchen teams to take the pressure off of the family.
Once a year, we put out a list of food items we will need provided for funerals. The people of the church sign up for one dish that they will provide for each funeral for the year. This is a really great way for people to help others during a difficult time in a tangible way.
